Faerie, Common

The Heroes in my campaign rescued a number of Fairies from a gang of necromancers and Psi-Goblins, and now those Faeries are joining in to chase that gang through the woods, so I needed to sit down and adapt them:

Common Faerie

Attributes: Agility d12, Smarts d6, Spirit d8, Strength d4, Vigor d6

Skills: Climbing d4, Fighting d12, Knowledge (Fairie Lore) d6, Language (Gobblely), Notice d6, Shooting d12, Spellcasting d10, Stealth d12, Survival d6, Taunt d8, Throwing d12, Tracking d6

CHA: 2; Pace: 4, d4 Run Die; Parry: 8; Toughness: 11(6)

Hindrances: Loyal, Quirk: Mischievous, Vengeful

Edges: Acrobatics, Arcane Background (Magic), Attractive, Brave, Exceptional Rapid Recharge, Master of Magic, Quick

Powers (Magic): light/obscure, puppet, slumber, speak language PPE: 30

Gear: Normally none.

Special Abilities:

Fairie Armor: Fairies naturally have +6 MDC Armor

Fairie Flight: Fly at Pace 12 w/d6 Run Die, hover. Note: if a Faerie is sprinkled with salt, it loses this ability until it can shake it or wash it all off.

Fairie Immortality: Fairies are effectively immortal, can only die by being slain.

Fairie Magic: Fairies are living PPE batteries and may cast spells without using their own PPE, subject to their magic’s limitations.

Fairie Resistance: +2 vs Magical effects, immune to Magic cast by other Common Fairies.

Fairie Vision: Nightvision up to 15”, can see the invisible and in total darkness, +2 visual Notice rolls, detect water with Notice roll at will.

Ley Line Walker Abilities: Fairies can use Ley Line Sense and draw PPE from ley lines as a Ley Line Walker.

Size -2: Normal-sized attackers at -2 to hit an active Faerie.

Uncanny Reflexes: -2 to be hit in combat (stacks with Size modifier).

Weakness (Faerie Glow): Faeries glow with magic, day and night, making them somewhat easy to spot. Those looking for Faeries at night in otherwise dark surroundings are at +2 to detect them by sight; detect arcana vs Faeries is also at a +2.

Weakness (Limited Magic): Fairies may only cast a spell on an individual once per day, except for themselves, and other Common Fairies are immune altogether. Another Faerie, may, however, attempt the same spell against that same individual, making a swarm of Faeries a dangerous foe. Fairies are also not able to learn new spells, as the spells they possess come naturally to them.

Weakness (Salt): Weapons using salt for ammo affect Fairies as if they were Mega Damage weapons. Being sprinkled with salt negates a Fairie’s flying ability, and a line of salt on the ground prevents a Fairie’s passage on foot.
